Dollars For Scholars 2021 Award Recipient

May 25, 2021

Maple River Grain and Agronomy LLC (MRGA) is proud to partner with Central Cass Dollars for Scholars to support students who are pursuing post-secondary education.

Since 2016, we have been recognizing deserving individuals for their excellence in academics, leadership, and community involvement. This year, we congratulate Adam Roden on receiving our Dollars for Scholars Sponsored Scholarship.

Roden will soon graduate from Central Cass High School, where he excelled as a student. In addition to focusing on academics, Roden has enjoyed his involvement in extracurricular activities. Being a member of the baseball, football, and basketball teams as well as participating in FFA, DECA, FCA, Band and National Honor Society brought him many opportunities. As a member of his FFA chapter, he competed in Agronomy, Meats Judging, and Ag Mechanics. He also spent the last five years working on his Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) where he grew potatoes and sweet corn.

Following graduation, Roden plans to pursue a Crop and Weed Sciences degree at NDSU.
Roden explains, “Over the last four years, I have met a lot of community members and developed connections in the agriculture industry. This influenced my decision to select my chosen major and attend NDSU.”

Looking towards the future, he hopes to achieve a career in seed sales or agronomy as well considering going back to the family farm.

MRGA is pleased to honor Adam Roden with the 2021 Dollar for Scholars Scholarship.
