Truck Driver | Full-time or Part-time

Non-Exempt Position

Level IV

This position is responsible for transporting fertilizer, seed and chemicals to and from MRGA facilities, making sure to follow all safety regulations, and applicable FMCSA and other laws and regulations relating to the transportation industry.

  • Haul grain to and from MRGA facilities
  • Deliver fertilizer, seed, and chemicals
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Exhibit an energetic and polite attitude throughout all encounters during the workday
  • Fulfill customer orders in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers, and customers
  • All other duties deemed necessary

 
Job Requirements:

  • Previous industry experience preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License, with acceptable driving record
  • CDL Required
  • Ability to frequently stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to frequently lift heavy objects no more than 50 pounds
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed
  • Willingness to work in various weather elements including cold, heat, wind, rain, etc.

Grain Operations Associate

Non-Exempt Position

Level IV

The position is responsible for tasks in our grain operations department, which includes activities related to grain receiving, shipping and storage.

Fleet Mechanic

Non-Exempt Position

Level IV

Fleet Mechanic will primarily perform repair work on tractor/trailers, but will also repair and service application equipment, fleet pickups etc.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain rolling stock, which may include a company’s fleet of pickups, trucks, fertilizer application equipment, tractor/trailers, farm tractors, and other motor vehicles.
  • Assists in plant maintenance when needed. 
  • Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
  • Performs tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function.
  • Troubleshooting broken down equipment
  • Examines critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.
  • Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
  • Plans and establishes timetable to complete repairs and maintenance
  • Test drives vehicle to confirm safe and proper operation.
  • Performs other related duties such as driving truck or helping with day-to-day operations

 Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Extensive knowledge of trucks with air brakes
  • Excellent mechanical repair skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

 Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of related experience preferred.
  • Commercial driver’s license a plus.
  • Tools will be provided

Custom Applicator

This position is responsible for operating application equipment to apply crop nutrients and crop protection products in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
