Three Ways to Keep ransomware off  your phone or tablet devices

Ransomware is a type of malware that threatens to publish the victim's personal data or block access to it unless a ransom is paid.

1. download apps from trusted sources

Ideally, only download apps from the Google Play store or the Apple store.

2. beware of emails from people you don't know

If you get an email from an unknown source and find an attached file or link to a website, DON"T CLICK IT. This is one of the most common means hackers use to trick people into unwillingly installing malware, including ransom.

3. Don't use unsecure WiFi

Anytime you use unsecure WiFi to access the web, you set yourself up to be the victim of a "man in the middle" attack which can be used to inject malicious code onto your device. Try to always use known, secure WiFi when you are traveling or use your 4/5G network.
