This four level office/light manufacturing addition represents the first phase of current master planning efforts to expand and consolidate the existing North Texas manufacturing operations at this campus. The building module is designed as the last addition to the existing west spine at the mature 1.4 million square foot manufacturing / engineering complex which was begun in the 1970's. The module was designed to provide maximum flexibility with large, open, flexible floor plates which could easily be converted from administration to light manufacturing. In addition to the four level main block, a dock, public and employee entries, and a spine extension were included. Additionally, the building expansion incorporated a chilled water thermal storage strategy utilizing the existing central plant chillers for off-peak production of chilled water.
